Oh, my...............they are at it again..............

Arguing the Grateful Dead, vs the Electric Prunes. Won't say what side I come down on, as I may lose a friend.

OK, how 'bout some good ol' Texas-style freak out music:

Check out the "electric jug"!

A better cut, SQ-wise. But, still photo, only:

"Major Danby, sir."
"Danby. D-A-N-B-Y."
"Take him out and shoot him."
"Sir?"
"I said take him out and shoot him. Can't you hear?"

Much better music HERE, like THIS or THIS.
Electric jug recordings included and a lot of scratched vinyl sounds to test crappy opamps.

After 10 beers I think I can play on jug   8)
Never argue with a fool,
they will drag you down to their level,
then beat you with their experience!!!

I guess it qualifies as music. Why not just program a computer to generate tones? Get rid of human error.
"Major Danby, sir."
"Danby. D-A-N-B-Y."
"Take him out and shoot him."
"Sir?"
"I said take him out and shoot him. Can't you hear?"

Is anyone reading the part of whether or not aluminum helps to shield magnetic fields, or not?

Priceless. For once, The Village Eddyot is not the stupid one.

Kinda reminds me of something, I hear a lot...................

"I don't want to be Stimpy. Isn't he the stupid one?"

Yes, he is!

I just love Internet experts. Especially when they are wrong.

"Say 'Good night, Stimpy'."
"Major Danby, sir."
"Danby. D-A-N-B-Y."
"Take him out and shoot him."
"Sir?"
"I said take him out and shoot him. Can't you hear?"

I've given up.  Again.

Ever been deposed in a legal matter?  The one thing the lawyers (who are nominally in your corner, because you'd help their case) tell you is: Don't volunteer.  In other words, don't give any information about anything that isn't directly asked of you.  Then just answer honestly and in the simplest and shortest way possible.  For example, if the attorney asks, "Did you eat the uncooked yak vomit sandwich?" the correct answer may be "Yes."  Don't add that you turned green, yakked said sandwich 7.2 meters, had visions of being naked in a hot tub with (gee, I could think of all sorts of vile names here) for 13 days, frothed blue foam from the mouth and, ah, sinus for a week, and pooted noxious gas thought by people in two time zones to be flying saucers.  Let them ask instead.  (After re-reading the above, it sounds a lot like something I might see on a TV show based in Colorado - but it is not.  But it could be.  I will sue if the above turns up on that show.)

That's my new approach on the internet and with hobbies.  Don't volunteer.

How does any of that apply to the insanity that may or may not be going on over at some web forum that may or may not be oriented toward a subject that may or may not be covered here?

Normally, with somewhat rational carbon based humanoid life forms, you'd think that some logical suggestion that points to some evidence based on physics or at least engineering would give these people some reason to think.  That's a huge mistake.

There was a blog post about this sort of thing a while back.  Lemme see, where was it...  Oh yeah:

Is the right place for a suggestion for the suggestion box that may or may not be here?

I suggest adding a feature to this web page:  Ask Dr. Stupid.

I know there's already a lot of these around covering the Wonderful World of Waudio, but none with that name or that explicitly honest a mission statement.

I can't: it makes blood shoot out from my eyes. (Actually, just trying to read that forum is a challenge? Could they possibly come up with a worse format. Then, the level of discourse..................)

The Village Eddyot, running off posters? I'm shocked, shocked, I say.

No, I'll stick to getting my daily laughs from the Blowtorch thread.

No, you are merely Excuse No. 137. At least, that is what I think he said. (Nothing he says makes any sense, so I am just speculating.)

Try being original, next time!

Slightly different subject, but same obsession:

Yeah, he is right: it isn't low jitter. So, no, we are not going to argue.

Phase noise data, if you look hard enough. Not bad, but certainly not low jitter. At least not, the close in stuff. (Should we 'splain it for them..............?.............no, I think not.)
