Troublemaker alert!
« on: June 29, 2011, 09:12:31 PM »
This probably belongs in an audio topic section, but we don't have a general audio section.

"So why don't you make one, stupid?"

May have to. Anyway, back to the story.

http://positive-feedback.com/Issue56/abx.htm

Article written by audio iconoclast, and associate of.................The Devil. Too bad The Pub is off the air, or I could suggest one of you guys go over there, and post this link.

I know.............you don't want to stick your tongue on that cold flag pole............

Don't blame you!

Well, I would probably do it, but that is why they have to keep me off.
"Major Danby, sir."
"Danby. D-A-N-B-Y."
"Take him out and shoot him."
"Sir?"
"I said take him out and shoot him. Can't you hear?"

Great!
Another possibility to try to corner Mr. Overlord SY and his crowd.
While "fighting" with Thorsten, I seemed to feel that SY's responses have diminished in accuracy when challenged, and he showed his nerves. What a shame for a scientist..... Similar things happened to him when our valued member JosephK discussed with him the benefit of attenuating a SPDIF signal.

They are back on the air. I would suggest you should put your money where your mouth is, but I recall you are on their short list, of soon to become ex-members.

Because of the last time you followed my evil directive!

Mache...........
"Major Danby, sir."
"Danby. D-A-N-B-Y."
"Take him out and shoot him."
"Sir?"
"I said take him out and shoot him. Can't you hear?"

I am simply amazed by how many people, who hate my guts, read everything I write. (It only encourages me: you do realize that, right?) (Or are you people really that stupid? No, don't answer.)

Your days are numbered. They are on to you. Permanent moderation will be waiting in your inbox.

(Ooops..........I gave their secret away.)

Cue Phred, and the "Oscar Wilde sketch".
"Major Danby, sir."
"Danby. D-A-N-B-Y."
"Take him out and shoot him."
"Sir?"
"I said take him out and shoot him. Can't you hear?"

why would anyone hate your guts, especially someone who registered over there after your ban?

they will drag you down to their level,

You would have to ask them. I'm sure all of the "who is this joker?...........the ghost of Christmas past?...............etc." queries plays a role. Plus, easy to make fun of me, since I can not reply, in kind. They know no one will censor them, for taking shots at me. So, where is the downside?

The downside is their obsession with my insane rantings only serves to encourage more ranting. Plus, the links to here bring in more readers. More readers means, well.............maybe, just maybe, their is hope for the future.

Remember, this all got started as an inside joke, with absolutely no promotion. There may only be a few folks, who carry on the joke. But, I see the statistics. Folks as far away as Hong Kong have numerous links, to this place. Maybe they like us. I dunno, since I don't speak their lingo.

As for statistics................

Over 5500 folks have d/l'ed the "Best of Curl" file. Almost 5300 have done the same, with his TIM paper.

Remember, this is with no promotion. Only folks finding it via Google, or whatever. Not bad, I would say.

Time to go think up something stupid to write.........................
"Major Danby, sir."
"Danby. D-A-N-B-Y."
"Take him out and shoot him."
"Sir?"
"I said take him out and shoot him. Can't you hear?"

A valued member here was quicker...and maybe saved my membership there. Thanks! Well, the moment will arrive, when I'll not be able to hold myself back. Cosi la vita....

At the moment, I really like Thorstens efforts to stir them up.

Yes, he seems to have gotten under their skin. As has a certain member of industry.

I wonder how many of them were on the high school debate team?

Might be more entertaining than the "Argument sketch".

"I could be arguing on my spare time."
"Major Danby, sir."
"Danby. D-A-N-B-Y."
"Take him out and shoot him."
"Sir?"
"I said take him out and shoot him. Can't you hear?"

yesterday received an email from friend of a friend:

(Google translation)
Today I was at XXX in YYY-town where we listened to my Buffalo DAC. Hmm, what to say ... his DACMagic is just breathing.
More details, bass is more defined, the stage is wider, the music is more free flowing.
It is true that the Buffalo have behind only 100 hours, but I think it would now have to show more.

(End of Google translation)

Background of this: 2 years ago my friend bought crappy Dacmagic and few months later he discovered web site from some modding company. He asked me if I could do the same and modd his Dacmagic. I exchanged parts, put few extra capacitors, replaced 7805 regs, modd digital input, ....etc, etc.
Nothing special, and since all my knowledge came from General and other valued members here and from reading The Devil's posts, Borbely & Pass articles,...all members here could do the same or better without sweating.

Now back to this friend of a friend: Should I wrote him he's wrong and all DAC's sound the same?

Well, this will probably offend some of the few friends I have left, but what the hell................

Someone posted a remark, something along the lines, that guys like Wurcer and Cordell have become successful, and it didn't turn them into "dipsticks". Alas, that post has vanished. (They never remove posts............remember!)

I wonder if the post was removed because someone replied with "They already were dipsticks."

It could have happened..........we will never know.
"Major Danby, sir."

"Take him out and shoot him."
"Sir?"
"I said take him out and shoot him. Can't you hear?"

I've seen it too, it was a reply from Mr. SY to an also removed post from that Bonsai Type. (I think Charles and Thorsten gave him more than he could chew, hehe.) Its really funny at the moment, there.
