You guys are concentrating on the wrong part.

Let's try to have a stab at it.. The tail current goes to the raw voltage?

I would never be able to maintain a sock puppet. For doing it really well, someone has to hide not only the technicalities, but most importantly be able to change temper/ personality, while creating a whole new, credible "professional background" which is coincident with his own real one / but still hard to connect..

An Art in itself..

Tip of the hat from my part :)

I would not call Harry Haller a sci-fi hero..
Though high school rebellion time sounds about the right age.

And I have this creepy feeling that somebody has had quite a fun just recently..

But the show just goes on:

"Jocko? Who's Jocko?"

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
An individual human existence should be like a river: small at first, narrowly contained within its banks, and rushing passionately past rocks and over waterfalls. Gradually the river grows wider, the banks recede, the waters flow more quietly, and in the end, without any visible break, they become merged in the sea, and painlessly lose their individual being. -Bertrand Russell, philosopher, mathematician, author, Nobel laureate (1872-1970)

Kryten,

Very beautiful, thanks a lot !!

While the above is really beautiful - it's really a divine gift if someone has creative talents - may I beg to differ?
Just a little bit.. like, for a second place, also this is not bad:

"If the OP is of the 'paranoid' school he will doubtless choose to spend the $7, if of a trusting nature he should have the option of saving $6."

Trusting nature..
