Analog Audio Stuff / Re: Probably None of Our Business, Pars Deux

Recent continued postings from two experts outside North America kinda suggest that the threshold for getting banned have either been raised significantly over the past ten or so years, [...]
The answer is simple:
They're double blind reading these posts, but did not find any offense in them.

Hey, you can see the Blowtorch preamp schematics in the background of this video!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLZ9NW17ekEt!!!!!

Look at that:

Now, the only thing Apple needs, are the Blowtorch Preamp Schematics to integrate the Blowtorch into the I-Phone. Maybe into the I-Phone 6??

Anyone knows someone there to hand out the Blowtorch Preamp Schematics?

General, please find this document for your enjoyment....

And now i'll run for cover, when the blood pressure of the General starts rising...
i'm not guilty....i'm not guilty....mercy!!!

Good you brought this up. While still searching the Blowtorch schematics, I saw this and was staggered, and almost responded to your "buddy". Which would have me gotten another vacation from that site.

I'm not an EE, but I know a little bit about ME's....
In good ol Europe, If you're more into development (and advanced development) than research, no way you'll ever need to do higher mathematics. Algebra yes, but other things...no. And I saw and worked with quite some development departments in the automotive (gee, even automotive electronics) industry....

Apart that, there is simulation all over the map today:
Finite Elements Methods, Mold Flow for parts design which have to be molded, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Kinematics and Dynamics, human body models for occupant safety simulation, whatever.

And....before this all was available: experience, ideas, a calculator, knowing where to look up the correct formulae, understanding how things work, logical thinking.

So...yes, 90% of the engineers today seem to have a problem...they are no real engineers.
Maybe luckily, because if they were "real" ones according to the "buddy", they would tell us why things go wrong in our technical world but would never manage to fix the problem.

[...]Mamma mia, simulator inside my head is running infinite loops and my head hurts[...]

This situation is similar to the woman who buys all kind of things in the shopping mall, and then looks for discounted products to save the already spent money...
I suggest you sit down an get a beer, and forget about simulator in your head.

Dear Dr. Stupidus

Here i learn from a member which usually knows all at that other place, than an inductor has only an inductance when there is a loop:
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/analog-line-level/146693-john-curls-blowtorch-preamplifier-part-ii-2525.html#post3109265

BUT, Dr. Stupidus, how on earth is this something special? Don't we want to have loops, in which the current can flow?
Or can we fill the inductor without a loop (as we may do so with a bucket of water) and get the current back the other day?

[...]What is it that they want?[...]

Bashing the successful (in the Upper Level Audio business) ones...jealousy?

Indeed....  :'(
Nevertheless, Italy held up well despite the not so good predictions...

Yeah!!!!
I wonder how he managed to get back into his shirt after the second goal.....
A good week for Italy, two wins and Ferrari won too....with the little help from this amazing spanish guy: http://youtu.be/lhs2sSbtuNg

If he powered the clock with such a noisy regulator, yeah....

Since I can not read it, anyone want to let me in on the joke?
You really should ask Phred for a log in, he may have still some spare......

Wow...intimidating. I'm too lazy to even figure out how it works.
La grande complicazione....and at the end, it tells only the time, isn't it?

Maybe in the case of this regulator, it tells it even worse than a CLCRC, which is less affected by PSRR degradation up into the MHz than an OpAmp, and followed by a more simple regulator.
And why not use schottkys instead of MBR rectifier diodes, currents and voltages are low anyway?

Ouch, the criticism at diyhifi from a well known member about this regulator design (or rather the choice of parts and values) wasn't swallowed well it seems ;-)
