I just want to be sure that nobody misses out on the excitement.  (Some have already waded in...)

I wonder...  Have any of these folks ever heard the term "IMD"?

What I love about these kinds of "discussions" is not the different opinions, but rather the misconceptions and plain wrong information that gets debated.  Almost to the death.

Example:

"I is equal to V times R"

"No, you idiot!  I is equal to V to the Rth power!"

"You morons are both wrong!  I is equal to R divided by V!"

Pity the poor guy who tries to set them straight.  They'll all pile on him - they agree on that.

"It's a floor wax!"
"It's a desert topping!"

Etc.

"Hey, you two..............new Shimmer is the new floor wax and desert topping!"
"Major Danby, sir."
"Danby. D-A-N-B-Y."
"Take him out and shoot him."
"Sir?"
"I said take him out and shoot him. Can't you hear?"
