Phase III of "Idiot Alert!"

What is it with these hobbyists that think TCXO is a good thing? OK, maybe it is...............if you absolutely, positively have to stay on frequency.

Which we do not.

Maybe if they knew how they worked.................

OK, the only thing worse than a TCXO is a VCXO. For the same reason, only multiplied by a few orders of magnitude. (Anyone ever consider how low the Q must be, to have a good pull range, on a VCXO?)

Nah.  I think this is the answer:

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ring_oscillator

Much cheaper.  More flexible.  Already at logic levels.  Well proven in switching power supply modules.

Probably too good...........................</joke>

Or, one could say about as good as some of the stuff that costs $1 per. (OK, still joking, but I think y'all get the point.)

Wow.............that is some of the most idiotic stuff ever posted over there.

Well, if you have a crappy system, and can't hear the difference, then I guess it all does sound the same.

Maybe I should tell my bidnis associates to hire SY as their PR/marketing weenie. That would put them out of bidnis immediately. (You can argue they already are, but I digress.)

Wouldn't be surprised. He and Wurcer are the smartest guys in the world.

Doesn't mean they are always right, but don't try to convince them of that.

But wait...  The specs there are for 10 MHz oscillators.  Not the for-audio variants.

So, 350 stinking Euros for something that we can do with a selected $0.35 crystal?

OK, even if we only get one per bag of 1000..............you get the point.

Pulsar Clock is a so extreme oscillator to be classified as a "Dual Use" device whose distribution is ruled by severe international regulations.

And just what the hell is that supposed to mean? Not that it really matters a rat's rear end.

Maybe SY will buy one, and tell us how it makes his crap sound exactly the same!

I guess this isn't vaporware, at least in the sense that some guys have sent their money and have received working units.
