Phase IV of "Oh, good grief.................."
« on: July 09, 2012, 05:19:47 AM »
Thread here:

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/digital-source/201480-clock-spdif-isolator.html

For sale, on weGouge, here:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/320647255109?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_4394wt_1163

(I can't believe 38 people bought this POC.)

Anyway, for all the testa di cavolo, over at that forum...............

It is not a frame buffer, you putz! Read the description. It is just a crappy version of a Tent Labs XO3, but with a cheesy CPLD, to provide all frequencies. And it takes SPDIF, at SPDIF level, to "reclock" it.

(Oh, excuse me, it "reshapes the data". Pardon me.)

Wow.................that has to be good.

Damn, are they dense.

BTW, seller has a "low jitter" 33.xx MHx clock.

Check out his idea of low jitter!!
"Major Danby, sir."
"Danby. D-A-N-B-Y."
"Take him out and shoot him."
"Sir?"
"I said take him out and shoot him. Can't you hear?"

...most crucial is "48 hours of burning in" to achive super low jitter -80 dBc @ 10 Hz (as per graph).
But fenomenally low jitter "less than 5.9 pS from 20 Hz to 20 kHz" ... I am speechless
Never argue with a fool,
they will drag you down to their level,
then beat you with their experience!!!

Wow.

One is the ultimate gadget.

The other is infinitely better.

I'd be afraid that some of those dirty musicians, or worse, dead ones, would be sucked through the cosmic void into our living room with these.  That's too much for me!

Here is the root of the problem:

No double blind testing was used in the making of this post.

Hmmm................that used to be a fairly sane place. Guess I need to rethink my position.
"Major Danby, sir."
"Danby. D-A-N-B-Y."
"Take him out and shoot him."
"Sir?"
"I said take him out and shoot him. Can't you hear?"
